About Vetch

Built by vets, for the work they came in to do.

Vetch is an AI-native operating system for veterinary practice. We started it because charting at home was never the deal — and because AI finally got good enough to remove the keyboard without removing the doctor.

Why we exist

The vets we know didn’t go into medicine to type. They went in to fix the dog, talk to the family, sleep on Saturday. Somewhere along the way, the chart started eating the night and the no-show queue started eating the margin.

We built Vetch to take that work back. Not by replacing the doctor — by removing the keyboard. Vetch drafts; the vet signs. Vetch books; the front desk approves. Vetch flags the lab abnormality; the team decides what to do.

The chart still belongs to you. The relationship still belongs to you. The decision always belongs to you.

Who builds Vetch

A small team. Doctors and engineers, side by side.

Vetch is built by a small team of practising veterinarians and software engineers. The same people who design the product run the demos, lead the migrations, and answer the late-night incidents. We don’t outsource the relationship.

Founder bios and team headshots will live here once we’re ready to publish them. Until then, the people you meet on a demo or migration call are the people who built the part of Vetch you’re asking about.

What we believe

Four principles, written on the wall.

Drafts, never signs

The vet stays in charge.

Vetch writes drafts. A licensed professional signs. We will never let the model commit a clinical decision the vet didn’t approve — every SOAP, prescription, and high-stakes charge passes through your hands.

Show your work

Every answer comes with citations.

Click any number, suggestion, or summary and see exactly which records contributed. No black box. We’d rather show our reasoning and be wrong than be confidently opaque.

Open by default

Your data is yours.

Export anytime. We don’t train shared models on practice content. We don’t hold records hostage. Disconnect any integration and your data stays exactly where it was.

Sit with the customer

Founders in the room.

Every demo runs with a doctor on the call. Every migration runs with practice success on the line. We sit with clinics until the work feels lighter — that’s the only success metric we trust.

They didn't pitch us. They watched us work for 20 minutes, then asked good questions. Different from every other demo I've sat through.
